The Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, (formerly known as the Nippon-Ham Fighters from 1974 to 2003), are a team in Nippon Professional Baseball. They are based in Sapporo, but they play several home games in various local cities. They were most recently league champions in 2016. They were known as the former teams of MLB players Shohei Ohtani and Yu Darvish, who won a Japan Series title during their tenures. Their current manager is a former Fighters player (and current Japanese TV celebrity) Tsuyoshi Shinjo.
