The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles, often known as the Rakuten Eagles, and (also known as the Sendai Golden Eagles), are a team in Nippon Professional Baseball. Their stadium and city were devastated by a large earthquake in 2011. They were Japan Series champions in 2013.
